The proximity to the bustling pedestrian area made evening strolls a pleasure, with numerous restaurants just a stone's throw away. The hotel's location near el Mercado was convenient for exploring local flavors and culture. The ambiance of the hotel, housed on the first floor of a historic building, was quaint and cozy, providing a welcoming atmosphere. While the lively surroundings did result in some noise filtering into the room, it added to the authentic experience we anticipated. The room was impeccably clean, the bathroom modern, and the bed comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.The staff's friendliness and attentiveness stood out, offering valuable tips and assistance in both Spanish and English. The optional breakfast, individually prepared and reasonably priced, was a delightful touch. However, the lack of an elevator may pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues.Iturrienea Ostatua strikes a fine balance between value and comfort, making it a wise choice for those seeking a cultural immersion in Bilbao's historic district. I would consider returning for its prime location, cozy ambiance, and attentive service.
